What is Landscape Contracting?

Landscape Contracting is a profession that involves the art and technology of landscape planning, construction and maintenance for human enjoyment and use. Successful landscape contractors have creative problem solving skills, refined interpersonal skills and an understanding of and respect for natural systems. They apply cultural and scientific knowledge in the planning and construction of both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Greetings all,

We have several very interesting speakers during the next two weeks in HORT410W: Issues in Landscape Contracting and your are invited to sit-in on their presentations. Class meets in room 111 Tyson. We have 70 seats and 30 enrolled, so there is plenty of room for others who may be interested in learning more about our industries or specific speakers and their company.

Wed, Dec 3 12:20 to 1:10--Dave Foresman and Christine Klein, Brickman Group will discuss "Human resource issues that effect landscape businesses."

AAA Landscape, Phoenix, AZ visiting Wednesday, November 5

Casey Ridd, Property Manager (PSU LC Alum 2006) and Steve Von Prisk, Director of Human Resources for AAA Landscape of Phoenix, Arizona will be visiting campus on Wednesday, November 5.

They will be presenting in HORT410W: Issues in Landscape Contracting from 12:20 to 1:10. You are welcome to attend and learn more about living, working, and landscaping in Phoenix. They will also be available for informal interviews and informational visits in room 117 Tyson. Please stop by and visit with them. They are only here on Wednesday.
