Sunset / Mastronardi Produce is the Global Leader in greenhouse-grown tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers. We are seeking a junior grower / horticulturist to join our team. We have tremendous brand recognition, outstanding sales revenue and are a global marker leader in technology advancements in our industry. This position will be located within 15 miles from our Romulus, Michigan location.

Technology used by NASA comes to Mastronardi Produce; this position will enable the employee to work with the latest technology in the agriculture market. Mastronardi Produce is in the process of developing a revolutionary facility that will take growing crops to the next level. This technology is designed and built for growing plants in a controlled environment. This system uses and controls precise combinations of light, water, nutrition, gravity, centrifugal forces, and gasses to produce growing conditions that can be controlled and manipulated to result in desired plant growth and maximum crop production. Mastronardi Produce is always looking to expand and grow in our industry. This technology will create an even bigger leap ahead of or competitors.

As the junior grower / horticulturist, your responsibilities would include:
• Maintaining crops, water levels, climate, fertilization and PH levels
• Maintain a productive, safe and amicable environment
• Communicate oral instructions effectively
• Working with revolutionary technology

Requirements for the position:
• Willing and eager to learn and expand your knowledge
• Attending or completion of a 4 year degreed college of horticulturists

Salary:
• Mastronardi Produce will offer a bi-weekly salary of $1,800.00

This job will serve as summer, part time position, with potential to become full time.
