Maxalea, Inc. a full service landscape design build firm is currently seeking an experienced full-time landscape designer. This position will report to our landscape architect and will be responsible for doing plan take-offs, detail hand-drawings, and material research. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of plant material i.e. woody plants, perennials, grasses, bulbs, ground covers, aquatics and annuals including zone hardiness, correct placement, plant combinations, spacing and maintenance and deer resistance as well as knowledge of hardscapes: including terraces, walks, walls, boulders, decks, parking areas, arbors, fences, gates, pergolas, and specific material used to construct: stone, clay brick, concrete pavers, block, treated wood, cedar, composite, and some exotic woods. Position will have responsibilities both in the field and the office.
