Short Term Study Abroad in France
For all students interested in a study abroad experience, the Landscape Contracting Program in the Horticulture Department is offering a course this coming Spring Semester (2009) entitled: Paris & the French Countryside; Gardens, and Landscapes of Distinction.
This course will include an 11-day study abroad experience from May 20th through May 30 th after classes have ended. The course will focus on developed landscapes (both historic and contemporary), botanical gardens, cultural sites, vineyards, orchards, and winery operations, retail horticulture operations, and sites significant to U.S. history (American Military Cemetery at Coleville and Invasion Beaches) in Paris and Northwestern France. If you are interested in getting more information about this course, a meeting has been scheduled for 5:00 pm on Wednesday, October 22nd in room 108 Tyson Building A short PowerPoint presentation will describing tour sites followed by a discussion and explanation about course requirements and costs.
